It's literally not just one fan. He's been referred to as a diva by two fans in this thread alone: oneye and Saint Cy.

Yeah, it's only two (on this forum) but the **** Mitchell gets from this fan base, either because of stuff like this or speaking his mind on issues that are important to him, continues to be ridiculously high. And yeah, I'll bitch about here and wherever I see it.

You are judging the entire fan base on 2 of the worst posters on a fan forum. Pretty clear who the non-fan is here.

No. I'm judging the fan base off what I see all over the goddamn internet every time Mitchell says or does something. It's not that difficult to understand. This is all an extension of it. And if you don't like my criticism of those fans, you can either ignore me or deal with it, broski.

Mitchell is a diva. It's not ridiculous to say (for those reasons, I support him speaking out on social/political issues). The way he treated Gobert and completely outed him to the media was disgusting. It is what it is.

I dont take it to the oneye level.

Weird, cause I support his political issues, he's just a child and diva when it comes to dealing with difficult situations and it's time to grow the **** up and stop creating unnecessary drama and acting like a spoiled little bitch. Every situation he's not happy he throws a ****ing bitch fit. He threw the other best player on his team under the bus the second he got a chance and let it fester for 4 months. He threw a fit over social media comments and changed his profile pictures lol. He is now throwing the medical staff under the bus who have taken care of him his whole career to this point, and the organization who you know has given him a solid enough foundation to make the playoffs EVERY YEAR OF HIS CAREER. He is a child in difficult situations and gets all sorts of emotional and creates long lasting issues. Every season this **** is going to happen when Mr. Diva doesn't get his way on something.

PS the Jazz DID NOT handle this well. I'm not exactly sure what Dennis is supposed to say, we know what happened at this point for the most part. Dennis also didn't make the decision, do you want an interview with Mike Eliot? If he wanted to move on he could have just let it go, cleared the air behind the scenes, and moved forward to game 2 like he claims he wants. Instead he created a media **** storm that will now last into the offseason and hang over the relationship for good.

A more accurate headline of the article should say this: "SPECULATION: Dwyane Wade's role in cleaning up Donovan Mitchell mess?"
 
I see no one here has had to deal with many 24-year-olds in their lives, or they are in denial about themselves at 24. Very very few people are any kind of mature by their mid-twenties. Hell I was deep in my college career, and had a wife and 2 kids at 24 but I can fully admit I was still in many ways a child. Maturity at that age is really the exception, not the rule. They still need to be called on it and held accountable, but it is anything but out of the ordinary.

Hell as a manager I've dealt with thousands of different people of different ages over my 20 year career and I find people of all ages still act like children in many situations.

Hell, we just had a 70-year-old child as president for 4 years.

I’m 24 currently and have the palate of an 8-year old so there’s that.

He has people around him. This is Donovan AND his team doing this garbage. It’s pretty clear where Donovan stands, and it ain’t with the Utah Jazz on anything.
 
I'm just here wondering how someone stayed 70 years old for 4 years, but also agree with all your points.

The human mind doesn't even finish development until age 25 I do find it interesting how much criticism Mitchell receives from the same fans that excused a child as president and infact enabled him and encouraged his childish behavior.

I do not expect Mitchell to stay with the Jazz because of the crazy fans. I see the same crap in every jazz comment section and I know Mitchell sees it to.

It's too bad, because Mitchell is honestly a really good dude. Maybe a bit overbearing in his leadership role, but overall a good honest player and one of the best people to put on a jazz uniform.

Even if he handles some situations with immaturity.

I'm a 39 year old man... I still handle some issues with immaturity. Probably always will...

It's part of the human condition.

I also work jazz games for tv production and do get to see a fair amount of behind the scenes interaction. The gobert/Mitchell situation was completely overblown by fans and the media.

I feel like this situation is also getting overblown.

I have a hard time faulting a player for wanting to play even if the medical staff disagreed. Can't imagine I'd be happy either in that situation if I want to play, but... Leave it to fans and the media to blow it out of proportion.

Just realize, most national media would love nothing more than to see Mitchell anywhere else except Utah.
