Rudy was great last game. He's looked back to normal. He'd be scoring 20 a game if we had more players on the perimeter that scared teams. He's getting so much attention in his rolls.
I think he looked much better in many ways. He has improved since last season in a few ways but I still think his effort is low. That is why Snyder called him out and said that every offensive rebound we gave up was because Rudy wasnt putting a body on his guy. Snyder did say that Gobert was proud of some of his passes and is working hard on those. Snyder said his jump shot is nice but not really that big of a priority for Gobert improving on offense. He raved about how much Gobert helped spread the floor and that his continual improvement on passing will help the most.
Interesting side note Snyder talked about how he runs our offense like you run a defense. Where everyone is helping out and it takes a team effort. He said the downside to it is everyone has to run their part perfect. If one person messes up it ruins the offense. He used examples of Gobert getting pushed out to the 3 point line to get the ball, Ingles not cutting hard enough to get the ball. All of those things throw off our offense a lot and hurt our efficiency. That is why he said the offense will take time to really get going. The whole team needs to know the system well and do all the little things like block out, screen hard, cut hard and so on. Its very promising to hear him talk about the direction of the team. Sefolosha talked today about still learning the system and continuing to improve as he plays in a system that fits him. I think all of our guys especially the new ones are going to learn the system better and run it better. I also think all the new guys have really bought into the system and Snyder which is really important.
