@Chargers Jazz Angels pre-selects Johnni Broome for Boston.
I like the Beringer pick. It's an upside swing, and he's already a significant defensive presence at 18.

Joan Beringer is just a puzzling prospect for me. If he was an extraordinary athlete or had amazing physical tools I could see it, but he really doesn't pop off the screen. Regardless, you're taking a guy incredibly far away with the hopes of him being a role player. Seems like a longshot for not a huge reward.
Never, he old AFWhen is Richie Saunders gonna get picked?

He's very fluid for his size and seems to have really good hands for his size, in my opinion.
I think the big question is how big is he really. He looks big compared to the competition, but the competition doesn't look like NBA sized guys. Combine measurements rarely swing my opinion of a player, but he might be one where it does. If he comes back with a huge wingspan/standing reach then I think he's a worthy investment.
To be clear, I think he would be great as a second round draft and stash guy. I agree with Cy that having these types of players in the development program could be very valuable to our future team. I wouldn't draft him in the first round.

In the highlight video I posted he has a dunk where he does a two hand tomahawk (I believe that's what it would be called) and the he taps the ball to the back of his neck. The level of vertical pop he has with his length, and the potential to grow more due to his age is too much to pass up on. Plus he has good enough feet and lateral mobility to do some switching and hedging along with being a drop big.
Jazz have enough projects at other positions. I didn't see anyone available who I think has realistic + starter potential. Jazz need some Kessler insurance and if the plan is to keep tanking it would be nice to have another big to develop.
