Because of the overwhelming need, it's Favors. He is the most superfluous player in the rotation and he is paid an insane amount for his total contribution. They should (and I strongly suspect will) make it the 1b priority of the offseason (1a being retaining some value of Conley['s Bird Rights])*.

This is under the assumption that the team is going to try to run it back, but they're going to have to be smarter about the finances this year.

I suspect they package #30 with Favors to offload him into cap space, but I hope they find a way to get an early 2nd rounder somehow (I think one of OKC's early 2nd rounders may be had with cash).
*These are 1a and 1b because they are linked: the urgency in trading Favors increases astronomically if Conley is re-signed (or replaced via S&T).

Favors/pick to OKC for cap space.

Clarkson/30 to Boston for Smart.
You gotta be more specific on what pick might be sent to OKC in that deal (assuming #30 is used for something else) because - as we all know - the Jazz kinda don't have any (unless it's got weird conditionality).

Since this organization never sells high (and almost never buys low) and since Bogey is so important in creating the conditions for the 4-out, 3-point barrage, I don't think he is going anywhere.

A LOT of this hinges on whether Conley is back or not. If he's back, they're going to try to run the most important parts of it back (that is, without Favors). If he's gone, I think the organization is going to have to ask itself some tougher questions than how much money they want to spend sooner than they want to.

Oni / Favors / 30 and a second rounder for Smart.

Has to be Bogey because he is the only one on that list that gets real value in return except JC and there is no way to replace JC's bench production. I dont think the Jazz will trade Ingles and as much I liked Favs coming back it didnt work. I am not sure he has value in a trade unless he is packaged with someone that does have value.

Bogey's averaged 20ppg last year on 17mil.

17ppg on 18mil this year.

Probably 15ppg on 19mil next year then 12ppg on 20mil in 2023.

Basically paying him more each year to get less production.

He's peaked as a player and it's all downhill from here. If we don't trade him this offseason, we might as well hold onto him cuz no team's gonna give us any meaningful assets to take on his salary the next two years.

Do I think any trades actually happen? Probably not but I picked Bogey just because of the mixture of age/contract.

Favors could end up a cap casualty like he was 2 years ago.
A guy who could get moved during the draft would be Azubuike, imo.

My hope is that a team likes Azubuike enough that you can package him and 30 to move up. In a vacuum I don't dislike the Azubuike pick but when you take into account Rudy's contract + adding Favors and it becomes an awful pick.

I think Azubuike and #30 might get the Jazz up to one of Houston's back-to-back picks at 23/24. I'm not sure if the Jazz would do that or not. Taken on his own, Azubuike might net a late 1st or early 2nd.

I also think there will be interest in Elijah Hughes, but I don't think the Jazz would be ready to move him.
