My pessimism is telling me none of the above will be traded, and even optimistically I don't think a Conley sign and trade will happen.
*These are 1a and 1b because they are linked: the urgency in trading Favors increases astronomically if Conley is re-signed (or replaced via S&T).Because of the overwhelming need, it's Favors. He is the most superfluous player in the rotation and he is paid an insane amount for his total contribution. They should (and I strongly suspect will) make it the 1b priority of the offseason (1a being retaining some value of Conley['s Bird Rights])*.
This is under the assumption that the team is going to try to run it back, but they're going to have to be smarter about the finances this year.
I suspect they package #30 with Favors to offload him into cap space, but I hope they find a way to get an early 2nd rounder somehow (I think one of OKC's early 2nd rounders may be had with cash).
Smart is one of the best fits I could see next to Donovan, but I wouldn't risk Clarkson for a one year rental of him since he's a free agent at the end of the year.
You gotta be more specific on what pick might be sent to OKC in that deal (assuming #30 is used for something else) because - as we all know - the Jazz kinda don't have any (unless it's got weird conditionality).Favors/pick to OKC for cap space.
Clarkson/30 to Boston for Smart.
Since this organization never sells high (and almost never buys low) and since Bogey is so important in creating the conditions for the 4-out, 3-point barrage, I don't think he is going anywhere.Because of the overwhelming need, it's Favors. My hope is that a team likes Azubuike enough that you can package him and 30 to move up. In a vacuum I don't dislike the Azubuike pick but when you take into account Rudy's contract + adding Favors and it becomes an awful pick.Favors could end up a cap casualty like he was 2 years ago.
A guy who could get moved during the draft would be Azubuike, imo.
