Because I did exactly what 90% of immigrants from islamic ( ad China and India here too) countries refuse to do. And that pisses me off. See Sweden example, did you hear anywhere about immigrants from Eastern Europe rioting? No, because most of them trying to integrate, to work hard, study and get a better life for themselves and their families. I needed to work at low level jobs and study for 2 years, pay 10.000$ for different exams and pass them before I could work as professional in Canada. I did not took a single dollar from Canadian welfare system. Yet look around, you will see muslim families with 5-6 kids who do not even speak English or French and live secluded life in their own small communities from our tax money and child care benefits. Are they useful to our economy? Are they trying to become Canadians? Hell no!

I am OK with Muslims ( or any other religions, nationalities, cultures, you name it) as long as they play by countries where they live rules and not trying to change it to fit their own needs. They moved here and gave up on their own country. It comes with cost. They can't expect to move to Canada, USA, Sweden or UK and create mini Arabia there.

Why not? As a Canadian citizen, I have the right to peacefully advocate for changes to our laws. Hell, I did. 8 years ago, I was quite active in the Marriage Equality movement. I was also active in the movement to ban smoking in public places in Calgary. Or is it only bad when it's Muslims?

As a Canadian citizen I have right to peacefully advocate for protection of our laws and against changes as well;). Did you vote for Nenshi by the way?

It does not matter Muslims, Hindu, Mormons or Pagans. If it affects local people in negative way it should not be happening. What if I would follow my ancestors religion of Paganism and request to perform my rituals naked at night in front of the fire in the middle of Nose Hill park? I bet my religious rights would be ignored and I would be charged for exposure. But try to tell Muslims or Hindu that they can't wear full body armor when swimming in public pool, they will start crying racism immediately.
