MWC decides not to expand

I say they just pick four teams - USC, Texas, Notre Dame, and Penn State - and just have them play each other 4 times during the regular season and then have a bowl system where the top two teams of the four play each other for the championship and the other two play in a "major" non-championship bowl. They'll all get $200 million dollar payouts and they'll hire every other teams' players to run the concessions stands/maintenance crew/security personal as a service to their lords for ever being allowed on the same field as them.

Seriously though, this whole thing makes me want to puke. Please return a speck of amateurism to amateur sports and not in the form of bad leadership.

You're only left with Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Baylor because Nebraska and Missouri supposedly have outside offers. I think you take any of the 4 big 12 stragglers if they are willing. Give me some Kansas basketball in the Mountain West and I'm happy.

Iowa State is quite the outlier. At least Baylor would have TCU as a travel partner. Maybe try to pick up Fresno to move to 14? I think the MWC would prefer 12, though. The core MWC schools broke away from a 16 team league. I don't think they want to go back near that number. That's why I would think Boise and the two Kansas schools are the universities in their sights.
 
Just wait a couple weeks guys. It will all go down one way or another by July 1. MWC is being patient and seeing where things end up with Big-10/Big-12/Pac-10/SEC/etc. They can wait it out and still have time to get Boise State on board.

So you think Utah is going to get in with the Texas movement instead of Baylor(or whomever), or only if Texas to the Pac 10 falls apart?
