In terms of wins and losses, I agree completely. In terms of veteran leadership and stability, I disagree. I think that he'd be well worth the investment. He can help teach this young team how to work together and play team defense. If you expect the 2014 draft pick to be your #1 option down the road, three years as an understudy to Luol Deng is not the worst thing that can happen to them.Don't want Cousins, and don't want Stephenson. Both are toxic for locker rooms, and now you want to put them together? Also, a Cousins & Kanter frontcourt is ridiculously pore defensively.
Dang is great, but he'll be a shadow of himself before we're contending, and at the price he'll command now, he isn't worth it, for us.
I like the Hinrich idea.

B. Stephenson is an UFA. You don't have to do a sign and trade to get him. He won't cost that much. . . just sign him outright.
Stephenson and his agent have been quoted many times that they think he is a max player. While I don't agree that he is he well not be cheep to sign. I would bet he gets more that Hayward this off season.
I sure hope so, because somebody is going to be sorely disappointed if they overspend on him. Won't be the Jazz. He has train wreck written all over that long-term, expensive, guaranteed contract that he has coming.
Favors + #5 for Cousins + #8
Sign-and-trade Hayward to Indiana for Lance Stephenson
Sign Deng
Sign Hinrich
Call it a day
Flame away.
