There are plenty of undrafted/dleague players that are long, lean, quick, and not effective. They arent sticking in the league, and thus far Exum is exactly that description.

And you said teams don't give up on terrible players after 1 season. What's your point? If bennett was undrafted he wouldnt have made it past the 10 day contract. It doesnt though, you just contradicted yourself by bringing up Bennett.
Like, no one has ever invested in young players and given them more than 1.25 year before cutting the cord when they arent good right away.
I said teams dont give up on talented players regardless of draft position. Bennett isnt talented.
Exum is a pg that cant dribble, cant shoot unless set and wide open, and even though hes big, cant finish very well and doesnt see the ft line much. His speed has gone unused and unnoticed because he can barely dribble, and hes been pretty average defensively this year. He has the tools to be good someday. Lots of players have the tools and never put it together though.I think if Dante Exum were a shooting guard, he'd be playing in Europe or D-League (permanently). But since he is uniquely big and long (and has speed) for a PG, teams will be more patient with their development. Anthony Bennett is a bad example because he was small for a power forward and there was nothing athletically or physically overwhelming about him that made him valuable to any NBA team. He was just a flat out terrible pick by the Cavs, biggest bust for a #1 pick in my lifetime.
Every player in the nba has talent. Many of them are out of the league in 4 or less years.I never said he was elite. Good lord do you just pretend to read post before you hit reply? Exum has talent, read the thread, we have been discussing it.
