What's new

My Quarantine

I weighed about 205 2 and a half months ago and started dieting. A few weeks into dieting I starting lifting at home and the gym and swimming and doing cardio. Did that for about a month and then hurt my back bad and took about a week off (kept dieting though). Then I started again for a little over a week and then got sick and took about 10 days off. Now I have been back at it for about a week.
I weighed 179 this morning! Lightest I have been since my mid 20's (I'm 43 right now)

I feel really good. Got my cholesterol checked recently and it was so low that the machine the doctor was using didn't even go that low. It went down to 150 and I was below that so that's good. (I think anything below 200 is good)
Blood pressure is great. I have only smoked 1 day (Superbowl) since December. Only done drugs 1 days since then (a little coke on Superbowl too. I went hard).

Not drinking booze as much. No soda, no fries, no chips etc. Lots of broccoli and smoothies (bananas, kale, yogurt, protein powder, hemp milk, berries) carrots, string cheese, Aussie bites, apples, chicken

Damn, 180!?!

How tall are you? That's pretty insane for your age to lose weight that fast when you arent that overweight (like borderline dangerous actually) and you seem fairly stout.

I find it more difficult to stick to the diet when forced to sit at home now and do nothing because of a lockdown.

My coping mechanism for stress and anxiety has always been eating, especially sugar. I've been losing weight for nearly six months now (35 pounds) and have greatly decreased my dependence on sugar. So far, the desire to binge hasn't come back yet, even though my stress levels are pretty high. You'd think a virus, an earthquake, cancellation of the NBA season, and my father being near death would be enough for one month. But who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Long story short, I had a doc appointment to follow up with my collarbone surgery today and now I need emergency surgery tomorrow to fix it because the plate popped off.

No!!! I'm so sorry. That's terrible. Good luck!

Meh, hes fine. Probably 10 lbs of that was water weight. And this is toddler level but if hes feeling good it's a sign whatever hes doing is working and good for him. If he starts to look emaciated, lose his sex drive and starving himself for results is when you get concerned (which you see a lot when people get gungho and take it overboard).

Woke up at 6 today due to an earthquake shaking my bed. Then, while still laying there an hour later another one hit
