How about second greatest?
Somebody should make a "Burke's rise to the Greatest Jazz point guard of All Time!" Thread
So you don't ever want to have a player accomplish more than stockton?
I'd love that but it is unrealistic. We will never see another Stockton anywhere in the NBA in our lifetime. For example:
Stockton's assist record will never be broken. He is 3,715 assists over #2 (Jason Kidd retired).
There are only 2 active players in the top 25:
Steve Nash is at #4. He is 5,528 behind Stockton. His career assist average is 8.5 a game. He would have to average that for another 8 years. That will make him 47...
Andre Miller, the other active player, is at #9. He is 7,787 behind Stockton. His career average is 7 apg. He would have to average that for 13 1/2 more years to beat Stockton. That would make him 50.
Chris Paul is not even top 25 yet. He still has 573 assists to go to even tie number 25 (His average suggests he gets there the end of this year).
Anybody else hear that the Hawks are sending Schroeder to the D-league?

Thought about that, but:
1. It is a LOT of work.
2. We have actually had it pretty good with PGs on the Jazz. Ricky Green, to Johnny Stockton, to DWill is a pretty superior run. We have had some scrubs as backups but the sheer volume and putridness is nowhere near the level we have endured at the center position.
3. Gobert has actually passed 3 more centers that I need to update. That there is a full time job. . .

Neg for leaving off Lopez and Arroyo.
I would be thrilled with that, but I'm also fine with setting up reasonable expectations. So you don't ever want to have a player accomplish more than stockton?
