Yeah, they didn't do it in the 90s... because all the super teams were already established in the 80s. It was a Lakers and Celtics league for a long time.

Why exactly does how the super team is made piss you off so much? The team is super no matter if the players are drafted there, are traded there, or decides to sign there.

Uhh... I don’t quite follow. The point is... Jordan never went ring chasing. He stayed with 1 team and then... when he felt he could no longer be the best... he retired - just like John Stockton and Reggie Miller. The original point was that... LBJ is no Jordan.

Eh different times and eras. If jordan played in today's league then maybe he would switch teams.
If LeBron played in the 80's and 90's then maybe he stays with one team his entire career.

This is founded on absolutely nothing haha did Jordan ever hint or suggest he would do that. He was loyal to the bulls from the get go and what did he do when he lost to Orlando and didn’t make it to the playoffs after winning a chip. He got pissed and got even better; made his team better.

He also quit on his team and played baseball

I wonder what jordan would have done if those guys were replaced with Shannon brown, daniel gibson, drew gooden, larry hughes, zudrunas illgaskas, damon jones, dwane jones, ira newble, sasha pavlovic, scott pollard, Eric snow, anderson vallejo, and david wesley.

Lebron took that team to the finals btw. That team might have finished in dead last without lebron. Instead they went to the ****ing finals. That roster is straight garbage.

He had the equivalent of that in his first few seasons in the league. Granted the East was VERY weak at that time when Lebron made the finals his first year, it is very impressive that he was able to get them there. Mike had to tough it out for about 7 years until he was able to get his first ring. That's about the equivalent of a drafted player's tenure with the team that drafted them. I'd assume that if Jordan didn't win anything for another year or two he would've considered leaving Chicago.

But would Jordan then leave Miami too? And would he leave Cleveland (again) to go ring chasing with the Lakers? We can only speculate on the answers but I say no way.

Of course he had a great situation with the Bulls - but it’s because people came to HIM. And it took time. It took years. It took patience and perseverance. And loyalty.

I think it's fair to say that LJB and Jordan were in different eras that had much different cultures in terms of the kind of longevity one would have with an organization as well as the concept of teaming up for super teams, but I think you also would have to factor in LeBron being a very huge impact and driving force behind that cultural shift.
