How is that a silver lining?

It's not. Hayward stays. Hill leaves. It's too bad it didn't work out with Hill. I genuinely like him and his game. Thought it was an okay risk to take. He just misjudged his value. Hopefully it still works out okay for him. It was a great season.

Nene is on a team friendly contract. Thangs as great deal to have him playing in your bench..millsap about to go to nuggets and Denver leaps Utah.. Denver will have 2 legit all stars with Paul and Jokic

QUOTE=Catchall;1441160]Thought we could keep track of free agency moves in the league with a thread. I can update the OP as changes happen.

I have seen a lot of talk about hoping burks is healthy and plays well so we can trade him.

What if he is healthy and playing better than he has at any point in his career and the ream is playing great with him having a big role? Do you still dump him? Isn't he on a good contract if he is in fact playing really well? Wouldn't the jazz want to keep a good player on a good contract?

one of him, Exum or Hood has to go unfortunately i think.. we'll probably find out at the deadline

Will be fun to see who can produce the best of those three.
I figure hood will get the most opportunity, followed by X so Burks is really gonna have to be at his best in practice and in the small amount of game time he sees to have a chance in hell I guess.

I'm really starting to zero in on Patrick Patterson now. Think he's gettable and for a really decent price. I cannot see the Jazz paying the full MLE (or more [S&T]) on top of everything else, so how do the Jazz turn Favors or Burks into Patterson (especially considering Toronto is in basically the same position [S&T])?

Barf, I would rather have Favors or Burks over Patterson.

Are you high?

Burks and Diaw to Toronto for Carroll and Patterson (S&T at $40 million/4 years), send Favors to the Kings in a three-way trade and pick up a half-decent pick and/or half-decent young player? Salary is about even, get a more reliable player that can shoot it and on a cheap deal. Maybe the staff can work some magic and get Carroll back on the court?

IDK. Any other such ideas?

Are you aware that the Jazz have basically no PFs on the roster (Diaw is basically gone [and isn't very good anyway], JJ shouldn't be playing much most of the year and isn't exactly a 4, we don't know if Favors is really a 4 anymore...)? Or that Favors is probably gone after this season (that's the best-case scenario)?

Wait, aren't you the guy the started a thread about finding a stretch 4? Because that's exactly what the Jazz will be needing. More now than ever.
