Okay, watching some highlights of Lonzo throwing lobs and I think this is our counter to teams trying to go small against Rudy.
So do we have the full MLE if he walks?
So could we offer Lonzo the full MLE and be into the tax just a lil bit? And this is without doing anything but letting Conley walk?We would be under the luxury tax by about 6M.
If we traded Bogey, Clarkson and Ingles we could free up 25.5M of actual cap space.
Lonzo would have to come via sign and trade. They won't let him leave for nothing. So could we offer Lonzo the full MLE and be into the tax just a lil bit? And this is without doing anything but letting Conley walk?
And we get a younger franchise PG whose playstyle fits with Donovan. It would be a great foundational moveIf we get lonzo, we get those sneaky half court passes and a shot blocking PG. He blocked bogey twice.

We can't trade Conley in any scenario. It's sign him or let him walk.Lonzo is not going to sign for anywhere near the MLE.
It would have to be something like LoPo suggested.
We let Conley walk or sign-and-trade him while getting less than 10.2M in return.
We then trade Bogey and 30 for Lonzo in a sign-and-trade. Lonzo is expected to get anywhere from 18M-20M a year which is right where Bogey’s salary is at.
Then we can use the tax payer MLE on a wing defender.
