A part of me asks why bother to do all this just so the Lakers can win another championship . World is going through enough as it is.

I don't know basketball doesn't seem as important to me this year with everything that has happened.
Am I the only one who feels let down by this proposal? I was so hyped for a potential World cup type tournament and what we got is so...meh...
From what I'm getting(not 100% certain) it seems like we will be playing this schedule to end the "regular season":
OKC
NOP
MEM
LAL
LAL
SAS
SAS
DAL
All western conference teams, 2 LAL games... but the other teams are under us in the standings so... I guess... it's an OK schedule to end the season with.
Our guards Mitchell, Conley and Clarkson are going to have the greenlight to go ape ****.
Huh... what am I missing? Here's what I get for Lakers schedule:If the Lakers play the next 8 games on their schedule against teams invited to Orlando, their schedule looks like this:
Suns
Kings
Clippers
Thunder
Kings
Pacers
Wizards
Raptors
The Jazz don't come up in their next 8 games. But even if the Jazz do play the Lakers, the Lakers will probably have the top seed in the west wrapped up after the first 3 or 4 games, and they'll probably be limiting players' minutes to reduce the risk of injury.
They didn't before? Our guards Mitchell, Conley and Clarkson are going to have the greenlight to go ape ****.
I’ve never needed it moreI don't know basketball doesn't seem as important to me this year with everything that has happened.
I was disappointed. They could have done the group stage and had automatic playoff bids for the top two teams and then had the remaining six spots seeded based on record. Gives teams a chance, tries something new, doesn’t discount the regular season.Am I the only one who feels let down by this proposal? So our starting lineup will now be Conley/Mitchell/Ingles/Royce/Gobert. That lineup has only played 14 minutes together this season. On the bright side, they were +21 in those 14 minutes.
I forgot he existed. No need to play Niang with Mudiay and JC... find anyone that can defend... those guys gonna put up contested jumpers no matter who is on the floor. Not saying it’s a bad thing just that is what will happen.I think Mudiay will be back in the rotation and taking some of the minutes.
