He has some Ayton in him for sure. Great physical tools used for the wrong reasons. It will be key to steer his development in the right direction.

Flip looked really good to me last night. I'm not his biggest fan, but he showed some inside presence that he has lacked in his other SL games.
 
Cody shot 4/13 on his 3PAs (31%) and averaged 11.6 ppg with 1.7 stocks. I'm hoping he can make 33% this year.

Incidentally, Flip also shot 4/13 on 3PAs in SLC SL.

I think he'll figure it out. I've only watched one game and his defense looks much better than I would have guessed. He's also made some nice passes and physically/athletically looks like he belongs. The shot isn't falling and he isn't handling ball pressure well. He'll have time to put it together.

I was super high on Lively pre draft and then he looked really bad in summer league, so I wrote him off, and then he ended up having a great rookie year. There was someone else in that draft I was down on and had a great summer league and then was awful as a rookie (Jett Howard, I think).

That taught me not to really take anything from summer league. It's fun, but doesn't really mean much as far as future potential.

He chose to forego an easier shot... or attempt to draw a foul in favor of a hard shot. The coaching staff needs to work with him on that...

One thing to consider is that different shots are more or less difficult for different players.
That particular shot is one that was quite easy for me. It was one of my go to shots and was easier for me to make than a shot that would be easier for you to make.

Also, Brice shot under 30% from 3FG as a rookie. It takes some guys time to get comfortable.

yup. 9 ppg on 40/22 shooting. and he played three years in college so he was 21 at the time.

brandon miller: 15 and 7, but on 38/31 shooting splits. so many examples of really good players who struggled big time as rookies in summer league.

In fact, Ace looks way more imposing than Durant. Did his rookie season and more impressive.
