Hahahahahahahahaha!!!
People trying to mudsling Mendela for "not being a saint" probably should read up on Abe Lincoln.
First of all, if you studied history you'd know that many saints were actually horrible people. I get it though, it's a figure of speech.
Secondly, Abe Lincoln, one of the most honest and best American leaders of all time, went through.... 5 generals (maybe 6, I can't remember). He completely trampled all over states' rights. He suspended habeus corpus. He bribed, bargained, and promised favors to gain support. He went through depression and anger fits. Not exactly saintly.
Lincoln wasn't a "saint." If you spent 5 mins on the Internet I'm sure you could find dirt on Gandhi and MLK.
Only 1 person was ever supposed to be perfect on this planet. Being a great leader, fighting for equality, fighting against racism doesn't mean you're a saint. No one celebrates these men for their "perfection." We celebrate them for their leadership, fight against racism and hatred, and belief in that "all men are created equal."
