Trying to find a better link, I know I've read them but for the moment that was the first one I found and the first few paragraphs you can gloss over. But Jerry Chambers (named tourny MVP), Billie McGill and George Fisher (who broke his leg) are the 3 I believe started.
Also the 1943-44 Ute team that won the NCAA championship also had the first Japanese player to be drafted into the NBA. A bit ironically lost to KU in the NIT quarterfinal game but the NCAA needed a replacement team so they took the Utes who went on to win it.

Now back to the topic of the thread, welcome Cincy and PKM I know I don't care if you're KU fans (even if as a Ute fan I don't care for them myself) its a Jazz board and always good to have more and get different perspectives from all over.
It is the off season so the bickering can get pretty bad in the slow summer times and as you may come to read KEK (I think he's from Jersey) is fairly opinionated and doesn't discriminate in those opinions.

To the new guys: Everyone takes **** on this board. Doesn't matter where your allegiances are. It's a ruthless bunch. So, if you don't mind mixing it up a little, it can be fun. Just don't take it personally. If you're a thin-skinned type, this may not be the place to hang out. If you do find another poster to be attacking you personally, you can choose to enable the ignore feature, and/or report the post.

Oh, and UK fans are okay with us.

I'm from Illinios btw, all my life pretty much, Chicago area.
My favorite ACC team is Georgia Tech (not that anybody asked, btw)

Did ya read the links, too, eh, Mo? I had no problem with either of these posters until I found out that they had both tried to enlist the support of every Kintucky fan to "help kill a NBA team" (the jazz) and "blow that site (Jazzfanz) up." I see one of these posts has been deleted now, but it's been preserved where it was quoted here:
