The Pelicans are doing Mardi Gras colors lmfao. It predates basketball uniforms.
Also, this just in, no one owns exclusive rights to a combination of colors.

Horrible uniforms given that Utah already has the new gold ones. Did the Jazz FO decide the gold and red gradient would be more appealing to female fans than the traditional blue and green colors?
And they're just so damn plain. I would never buy the new ones, but the hat reminds me more of the UofU than the Jazz. I liked the fan concept rendering that at least had the famous Arches.
I think eventually every team will have every color as an alternate. Nike (and the NBA and team owners) hope fans will buy enough merchandise with the 3rd and 4th colors to make a ton of money. Then those jerseys just keep rotating so there is always something new on the shelves with new colors. Keep trying to sell to a different niche of fans every year.
