We need more people to come play poker on Friday the 18th. I don't know why we can't get more people to come, so let me dispel some possible reasons for not coming:

1. You don't need to know how to play poker. Just ask Archie, who showed up just to hang out and learn. He's a regular now and can hold his own pretty well.
2. It isn't intimidating at all. We're just a group of guys and girls relaxing, laughing, and playing cards.
3. There are at least 3 regular ladies that come and play, but there are usually more. We could use more ladies -- ATTENTION JazzFanatic and JazzGal.
4. There are no tough-guys or belligerent drunks.
5. Cheap entertainment. $25.00 gets you a night of snacks, drinks, beer, and good company. What the crap else are you going to be doing on a Friday night? Exactly.
6. You might win some money. The top four players leave the game with money in their pockets -- not bad.
7. You get to meet a bunch of the tools that you argue with and neg rep on a regular basis and find out they're really not all that bad in real life. (except franklin -- he really IS that big of a douchebag)
8. I have nothing else to say, I just wanted an 8th point.

So, there you have it. Just come. Reply to this thread if you have questions or concerns, or use this thread as a place to say, "Hell yes, Trout! Color me there!"

Warmest Regards,

Trout.

9. Gameface brews his own beer and has a keg-o-rater. It tastes like pure hemorrhoid, but you might like it! It's free, ffs, so just come.
10. Not all of us drink beer, and there is usually a good sampling of Mtn. Dew and other delicious High Fructose Corn Syrup drinks to enjoy.

hmm home brewed beer you say, very tempting. If only I wasnt so lazy and didnt want to drive to SLC.

Don't be ridiculous. Ride trax down, I'll pick you up at the station, and then I'll drive your *** home when you're plowed. Done and done.

Tempting. On the one hand it would be fun. On the other hand, franklin.

I didn't know you lived in Utah -- should I have known that? Oh please, franklin hardly even talks at these games. He just sits there and plays with his chips, all the while pretending like he knows what's going on. You won't even know he's there. C'mon, Siro, you know you want to.

FYI, I've sent texts to Jazzgal and JazzFanatic -- JF is worried that she doesn't know how to play. We'll teach her, right? RIGHT?!

For someone who doesn't play poker at all (besides at these) I've gone 3 times and I've won money 2 times. It's pretty fun. Am I the best poker player ever? No (I do like to milk it though). But no one makes fun of me (that much) and all the guys I've ever played with are cool (I've never had to be on the same table as Trout - that guy blows.) I've only seen one guy ever try and cheat (he didn't succeed) and like Trout said, there's never been a hard *** there (besides me).

(I'll stop putting things in parentheses now.)

Yo is it cool if I show up wearing some big *** Dre Beats headphones that never leave my ears, some dark shades, a beanie, and never talk to anyone?

Some limited talking to me while I take your buy-in may be required. Other than that you're golden.
