What's new

NFL Talk

I wouldn't say the Lions defense is god awful. Before that game they were top 10 in pass yards allowed....They definitely dont have a great secondary tho and their best player was injuried.

LOL... Wow.

Rodgers is a GREAT QB. Yeah, Flynn had a huge game against a poor defense. Guess 122 QB rating, Superbowl MVP, and likely league MVP isn't enough for a QB to earn your respect. Not to mention 14-1 as a starter this year and 20 some odd game winning streak.

Another sucker. Tom Brady gets injured, Matt Cassell has a Pro Bowl season. Aaron Rodgers sits out, Flynn sets new Packer passing records. They are system quarterbacks. I'm not saying they aren't good or even great quarterbacks, they are both overrated because of the system they play in. It's that simple. MVP this and Super Bowl that...it's the system they're in. Just plug and play. No drop off from it.

So you're telling me that I could put somebody like Mark Sanchez or Rex Grossman into Green Bay's offense and expect similar results to Aaron Rodgers? Lulz.

If it is just the system, why isn't every NFL team copying it with the same results?

Hell, now that I know the QB position in the NFL just requires a warm body, I am going to try out.

Honestly, I think this shows how overrated Aaron Rodgers is. If the backup can put up those numbers, then I'd say Rodgers is more of a product of the system than an elite level QB. Yesterday definitely changed my perspective on just how valuable he is.
One game??????

Your appraisal of QB's is second to none. Caleb Hainey (sp? I don't really care, the guy's a complete scrub) 4 MVP.

No way Denver beats Big Ben, even if he has both ankles sprained, broken, removed, etc.

Don't underestimate team psychology. No one's giving the Broncos a chance. And they're at home. Given Ryan Clark's and Mendenhall's absences, and Big Ben's injuries, I think this is setting up to be the upset game of the week.

Call me crazy but I have a feeling Detroit is going to beat the Saints. They lost 31-17 earlier this year but Stafford was playing with a broken index finger and recently he has looked just as good as Brees and Rogers. Plus they didnt have three of their best defenders in Chris Houston, Louis Delmas and Suh. Anything is possible when you have a freak like Megatron on your team
