Thoughts on this fantasy trade...

Arian Foster
Steven Jackson
Torrey Smith
Reggie Wayne

for

Trent Richardson
Julio Jones
Antonio Brown
Andre Brown

Fair deal?

Fair for sure. At first I was gonna say the team getting Arian was the winner, now I'm not sure. Good trade.

For the record, as an "Alex Smith lover", I like that they march CK out there a few times a game.
I love the 9'ers, but if they ever win the SB, it will be "in spite of" Alex, not because of him. He didn't get the ball downfield at all against Minn. His idea of a long pass is to throw it 6 yards on 3rd and 8 and HOPE his receiver can get 2 YAC's. Actually, I take that back. He's had one very good series...when he hit Crabtree for 3 decent passes. The one pass he can't hit is the 7-8 yd. out. I'm seen him miss that throw time and time again. Most of the time he hits one of the coaches on the sideline. Other times he throws it behind the receiver.

Next year, Kaepernick needs to be the full-time QB.

I'm not really down with an argument over this, but I do want to address a couple of points. I apologize in advance for the One Brow-esque format.

So Ponder looking like a god against SF's defense on that day was because Alex can't throw the long ball. Got it.

Just a quick football primer: the QB isn't the one running the routes. It's the receiver's responsibility to get himself into position.

Let's see... your key to QB success is the long ball, and CK has thrown exactly one long pass this season. Into triple coverage. I see your point.

Gawds, if only Harbaugh were as smart as you.

Thats what I'm talking about. Thats a +rep if I've ever seen one.

Alex smith was a great college quarterback. Im a utes fan, and I love what he did for the utes. But he just isnt a great nfl quarterback. He is a game manager quarterback. Saying otherwise just means you are a homer or dont know better.

Please list all the quarterbacks in the nfl that Alex is better. Or list the order of top quarterbacks in the league. If alex falls anywhere in the top 15, then you are high my friend. Im just saying, in terms of how he rates to other nfl qb's, he sucks compared to most. He is a whole lot better than many other qb's in the world, just not most nfl qb's

Great guy, good quarterback. Just not anywhere near the discussion of a top qb in the nfl.

I think you're projecting a lot here. If you are assuming that I think Smith is an elite quarterback, then you are mistaken. I don't believe I have said anything that could even be construed as such. But I do believe that his abilities and aptitude are widely maligned. His QB rating is amongst the league's best right now. Does that put him in the same discussion as Rodgers, or Brady, or Manning? Obviously not. But asserting that he is one of the worst QBs in the league is baffling. The stats don't back that up.

This tactic always humors me; "If you don't agree with me, it's because your dumb."

Well, I'm willing to agree to disagree. If you want to think I'm stupid, that's okay. Whatever works for you.
