No clue what the Jazz are going to do in this draft

The Jazz have done a good job of keeping things mixed up. Rumours that the Jazz want to move up, rumours the jazz love Davis, or Babbit at #9, and Rumours about the Jazz drafting in the 20's possibly buying a pick and possibly trading down. Nice work KOC on covering all the bases and keeping the competition guessing.

This draft pick is just the begining of the offseason, but it should reveal the direction teh jazz are heading. The big question is reload or add a piece and keep the Boozer, Okur, Ak Milslap front court together.

If they stay at #9 and draft a pf then I expect big changes this summer.

When you're getting killed in the post, you have to man up. It was Jordan vs. Whiteside straight up and it looked like Shaq against Olive Oil. BPG is a good defensive stat, but it most certainly doesn't tell the whole story. Especially if a guy can't contain his own assignment at all (even in a mid-major conference in the NCAA).

Whiteside can't be KG because KG is tough and brilliant (Whiteside is weak and dumb) and Camby is an overrated player. Whiteside would be lucky to be anything close to either. If he gets his **** into a weight-room and finds some kind of mental toughness somewhere, look out. That just doesn't happen too frequently, though. I'm going off on a tangent, though.

Keep in mind that Whiteside was a freshman giving up 25 lbs. against a senior. He still had decent numbers himself in the games against Tulsa-- 14/10/6 and 17/9/4. He seemed to hold his ground pretty well in the video I saw. I think Whiteside projects to be a PF in the NBA.
