NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

His year 4 stats are pretty similar to Trey Lyles. You can't say the Suns "haven't whiffed like we have" if you don't consider Jackson at #4 a whiff but Lyles at #13 is. Throw in Bender, and this debate is a wrap.
Jackson career average pts is nearly twice that of lyles. That’s pretty similar?

... you're lamenting what could've been if the Jazz had drafted Booker. The Jazz traded the player they took instead of Booker for Donovan Mitchell.

You shouldn't need this spoonfed to you.
Are we arguing this? Seriously? Booker man. For his size alone! 6’5” vs 6’1”.

I’m lamenting that we’ve got some glaring weaknesses out on the wing that are about to be exploited bigly. I really wished we had done more in the draft over the last several years to get us more than just Royce to defend the perimeter.

This series could get ugly, especially if Conley isn’t going to play.

I said their Year 4 stats, not career. I am comparing current Josh Jackson to Year 4 Trey Lyles, where their per 36 stats are damn near the same.

I can't tell if you're ignoring that we wouldn't have Mitchell if we drafted Booker, or if you're trying to say Booker is better than Mitchell.

lol @ both.

That's fair, but you can do that without making the absurd point that the Suns haven't "whiffed in the draft like we have".

Calm down chicken little. The sky isn't falling. Damn, have some faith in our team. It's pretty damn awesome.

Someone should look up our record when only Mike conley is out but everyone is healthy. I think it's something pretty staggeringly good.

Maybe we didn't get these awesome lengthy wing defenders that it seems that we could use

Maybe instead we assembled the deadliest shooting team of all time while still maintaining a top 5 defense.

I gotcha.

Games without Conley but all other key players are healthy: 9-1 this season, and 12-3 last season post-Clarkson trade.

21-4 overall. Pretty good.

Booker is the definition of a selfish, chucking turd. Congratulations to him for getting a Chris Paul because prior to that, he was one of the biggest losers considered a star in the league.

I’d much, much rather have Mitchell.

The more I'm hearing about Mitchell the more I know he is a massive basketball nerd. He is a player who is spending a lot of time studying his own play and the play of his team and the play of the best players in the league.

I remember his first couple years in the league. I didn't know he was a basketball nerd at the time but I marveled at his ability to figure things out game to game. He was learning fast and fixing his game in real time. It was incredible. He has massive physical talent, but he also has massive intelligence and he's directing it all towards growing as an NBA player and NBA personality.

I take Donovan Mitchell 10 times out of 10 over Booker. Mitchell has expanded his game every single year. Mitchell is going to be valuable as a basketball mind on any team he is a part of throughout his NBA playing career. He's going to be a part of the NBA long after his playing days are over in one capacity or another.

Let's enjoy his time with the Jazz.

Well, if you watched the second half of that PHX-Den game, then you ain’t doubting the Suns.

Booker is awesome. I don’t care for the comparisons. And I don’t care for trying to discredit him based on the past. Dude is absolutely ****ing balling out right now. It’s some of the best offense I’ve seen in a long time.
