What's new

Not saying I wanna, but....

I really must have missed a lot over this somewhat summer sabbatical to wake up and find the discussed value of Ingram has gone from a few picks to our salary-dumping scraps.

You could deal Clarkson and Sensabaugh to Toronto for a Gary Trent Jr. Sign and Trade.

Easiest solution is that we just keep Clarkson. Trent signs MLE with NOP. Doubt TOR is wanting to add Clarkson's salary either.

Overall, the question is "has there been a better time to take advantage of a weird market than now?"
It is very easy to build a guaranteed-first-round-exit playoff team if you have at least some assets. Tanking teams are eager to trade away some good players and teams trying to contend are always ready to cast away good but not great young players that are about to get overpaid.

The question is what the Jazz are trying to build.

For hypotheticals and for off-season debate, I have been thinking about how there seem to be so many guys that could be had for nothing these days that could make for a sneaky good and deep team if Danny wanted to go that route. I'm not even going to do numbers on any of this since thats @Elizah Huge and @Handlogten's Heros jobs here, but couldnt the following dudes be picked up for cheap to add to a mix of Lauri/maybe Walker/Maybe Sexton?

For the record I am 1000% pro-tank, and not the half assed kind we have done the last 2 year. Playing devils advocate here.
i hate the idea of not tanking, but this sort of outside box thinking is fun.
