Jazz are pretty much on par with these Mavs, who are a playoff team.
That said, the Mavs were a better team last year than this year. Luka is the only guy they have who can reliably run plays.

Yeah his energy level looked a bit spent tonight. Dallas nightlife maybe????Not too familiar yet with players to comment too deeply, but what is clear, Lauri's 3-pointers are atypically off. 0-4 tonight, and it looked like he himself surrendered to that fact too when he had few chances more to try, instead trying to do something else. Furthermore, he spend too much time passively in a corner during offenses, when situation could've warranted more active plays.
Definitely. Lots of fans say ref stuff after a loss. It can be true sometimes too.Right… it’s not just free throws… it’s calling Lauri for a weird offensive foul when absolutely nothing happened… calling JC for carry with 5 minutes left. Vando and Lauri were taking tons of contact at the rim but they didn’t flip to the ground and yell real loud so no call. Defensive three seconds in the fourth when Dallas sat in a zone for like half the game.
It wasn’t on the refs but the whistle we got tonight was real rough.
Saw some article about gambling and the Jazz today… mentioned Dallas as the worst matchup for how we play… pretty encouraged with the result if it’s true.
It will have to be gentleman’s I guess cause I don’t share personal information with internet strangers. But it’s public and the shame factor will be real!!!Bet??? I say they move one or the other by year’s end.
Even if his 3 has been off I was surprised to see him inbounding the ball on the last play. I would have preferred him take it vs Clarkson trying to shoot over Kleber. Oh well good fight till the end. If Conley's toe isnt on the line we are going for 2 to send it to OT it instead of 3. Just a tough break. Not too familiar yet with players to comment too deeply, but what is clear, Lauri's 3-pointers are atypically off. 0-4 tonight, and it looked like he himself surrendered to that fact too when he had few chances more to try, instead trying to do something else. You’re giving me too much credit. Actually, I agreed with you on Gobert and Don during that time. I disagree with you on a lot of stuff in the new regime. Also, you come off as a smug know-it-all and the majority of your posts are negative. That will get you a downvote. It is what it is.I mean, nothing about my posting style or overarching basketball philosophy that fuels my post has changed yet you went from liking everything I said to constantly disliking.
You were clearly doing it just to get a rise out of Lopo because he thought you were my alt.
When you were ******** on Lopo he probably approved because Lopo was off the rails there at the end. Not his fault you took that as a blanket endorsement of everything you post. kcgar has downvoted me plenty of times and upvoted me plenty of times. There were times it caught me off-guard when they downvoted me but I've come to the conclusion they are just honest about not liking posts in the form of a downvote and they are not picking sides in the site drama.I mean, nothing about my posting style or overarching basketball philosophy that fuels my post has changed yet you went from liking everything I said to constantly disliking.

He did carry though. He actually carried twice and they didnt call it until the 2nd (more obvious) time. I know carry is one of those calls where you can argue that it could be called a lot more, so it can be viewed as a very BS selective call, but Clarkson pretty blatantly went under the ball on his 2nd hesi move and got called for it.Right… it’s not just free throws… it’s calling Lauri for a weird offensive foul when absolutely nothing happened… calling JC for carry with 5 minutes left. Fine by me… just remind me to adequately shame you for the dumb bet you made… cuz I likely forget. It will have to be gentleman’s I guess cause I don’t share personal information with internet strangers. But it’s public and the shame factor will be real!!!

Hard to do when you play Sexton 31 minutes.Completely agree. I feel like Lauri is skilled enough to be a star, but I'm just not sure he has the right mentality to be one. Not aggressive enough offensively. He should be leading the team in field goal attempts pretty much every night.
Cool story… I actually think guys that play hard and don’t fall down for no damn reason should get the benefit of the doubt. T wasn’t just those calls though… sexton had Luka draped across him and horse collared hiM on a drive after he got one of his BS touch fouls. I felt it was uneven and was definitely a factor. He did carry though. He actually carried twice and they didnt call it until the 2nd (more obvious) time. Vando is never going to get the benefit of the whistle when attacking on ball. And he really shouldn't. He's usually out of control and just leading his elbow trying to create contact without any actual threat of scoring.
Watching the replay of the Lauri call, those do annoy me. But on the replay it does look like he held the defender's arm down to prevent him from tipping the entry pass. Really is a lame call though.

#tanknoteBetter get used to it. If Mike is moved, Sexton playing over 30 minutes is going to be the norm.
Holy **** man… sexton was bad forHard to do when you play Sexton 31 minutes.
