Game Thread Nov 26, 2021 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs. Pelicans

Added to Calendar: 11-26-21

How was that a foul on Pelicans? All the guy did was just run into the screen. That happens a hundred times a game. It was as if the refs wanted to give the jazz a break, and totally screwed it up.
I was referring to the continuation. I actually thought it was closer to an illegal screen than a defensive foul. They were reviewing continuation. Not the foul.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say, but there is no way that was continuation. They called a foul. They did review if it was continuation and it wasn't even close. Not even the biggest homer ever would have said it should have been continuation. Jazz deserved to lose this game.
It was not continuation and it’s obvious. That’s my point. They ruled it as continuation. When they go to review, they can only review the timing of the sequence and not change the call on the floor. In this case they changed from the call on the floor (continuation) to Gobert being fouled before the shot.

I think we are saying the same thing. I thought the official review was the right call. Not the call on the floor.

Yes, but my point is that they are not allowed to change that call. They can either say the foul was before the shot (they can’t because there wasn’t a foul) or they say it’s continuation (TJ yeah can’t because it wasn’t). The technical call is that the call on the floor stands. They can’t alter it. But they did because of they said their was continuation, it’s obvious waaaaaay wrong… and if they say it was before the shot…. well, yeah. So instead they changed it to a foul against Gobert (they can’t do that, but they did).

Sounds like that is protestable. Very rarely does the NBA make them redo from the spot but it has happened.

The foul was called on the pelicans. the only question was if it happened before the shot. it obviously came after, so the refs fixed it. not sure what you guys are talking about.

I really think we need to reassess what we’re doing offensively. Last year worked because of league rules and because we had a historic shooting year. Seems like that might’ve been an outlier. We may want to focus on getting the ball inside first because launching a million 3s with 20 seconds left on the shot clock.

By focusing on quantity instead of quality, we’re shooting ourselves out of games and giving teams way too many easy looks.

Ignoring Gobert for guaranteed dunks 5+ times a game in order for Don and Jordan to force a 3 just isn’t a winning formula.

Donovan Mitchell is either incredibly selfish or blind.

He has an easy dump off to Gobert, but forces a tough layup that leads to a transition 3. Just an incredibly stupid player sometimes.
So then really its 3 options. Selfish, blind, or stupid
