Doke is just heading into his second season as well, with a better set of hands and better ft% than Rudy had at that juncture.

He shot 10 FT's lmao. He shot 42% in college and 40% in the G-League.

Gobert might be the best ever at what he does. Doke is horrendous at defending the hoop and defense in general. This isn't a comparison.

Tony Bradley and Trey Lyles dominated summer league too.
Personally I think Bradley is more skilled but a horrible athlete. He was skilled enough for many of the experts to say that if he stayed in college longer he’d be a top ten pick, but he’s really one of the worst athletes at the center position. Where as Udoka is some what physically gifted with no skills to speak of.

TB didn't dominate... he was okay enough to keep on the roster. Doke was more dominant... and none of it likely matters all that much.

I'm telling yall... I didn't watch much college basketball... but tuned into Baylor games occasionally to watch Mitchell... always came away more impressed with Butler. Then in the tourney he was just a murderer. I think the kid does winning stuff and just has a game that will help teams win.

Butler flirted with the NBA draft in 2020. He was considered a late 1st-rd-round pick. In college, he always looked like George Hill offensively, and he definitely has potential as a floor general-type PG. The question at the moment might be his length and his defense. He moves well laterally and has great timing and instincts, he just isn't physically imposing. He's a guy that might be able to bulk up just a bit. That's one thing Chauncey Billups did to become tougher defensively.

Give Butler a year or two to work on his body, and he might have an even bigger impact.

The more I look at Malik Fitts, the more impressed I am. His shooting is legit. His size and athleticism are legit. His defensive reactions aren't bad.

He's not just a roster player, I think he's rotational as soon as he picks up the system and playing with the guys.
