I know joker is hurt.. but have we noticed that teams are almost exclusively going small against us? They’re going small and having success.

Game turned into a bummer. Pretty terrible performance so far. Defense has been laughable.

Our defense goes from elite to league bottom when teams pull Gobert out of the paint. Which we will inevitably run into every playoffs.

It's going to be hard to get too emotionally invested in the regular season knowing we have that facing us again, and we've still proven to be completely ineffective against it.

What has Gobert actually been doing in the offseason. He doesn't seem to have improved or added anything useful to his game

Tbh same can be said for bogey, Clarkson, Mitchell, Conley, Royce etc. Look a lot like they did last year.

I feel like Conley should have worked on his screen setting, Donovan should be posting up more, bogey should be running the team and racking up assists, Royce should be taking guys off the dribble, and Clarkson should be a lockdown defender

Right? I get that structurally we’re not built to beat small ball. But can we at least try a zone or something? We can’t keep giving up wide open 3s and layups… right? @fishonjazz i remember you felt this way last year against the clippers. Why aren’t we trying something… anything? Go smaller. Go zone. try something different
