Jazz can decide not to decide for now. If Ace starts to develop and the Jazz add another stud in this upcoming draft, then Lauri fits nicely as a floor spacer and play finisher who doesn't need to dominate the ball.

Even so. If given the choice of the clock running out on that possession or being allowed to swarm Lauri and get a steal or foul and hope he misses free throws im pretty sure they would rather have option 2.
I could see that Lauri really wanted that 50 and figured they would probably win either way (which is true. When you have the ball up 2 with 4 seconds left you will usually win no matter what you do there)

Sorry? The Jazz have to have a bottom-4 record to assure keeping their pick. They don’t have a lot of time to mess around before it becomes difficult keep the win total sufficiently down.

all those Lauri rumors have been very non specific and pretty much regurgitating the same old narrative. Kinda over it .

Especially in the scenario he provided in which Ace is developing nicely.
We might be too good to keep our with Ace sucking. Almost certainly give it up if Ace develops quickly into a good player.
