Almost Ainge is a real thing. He was real smug about almost getting a player before last season.

And it gives people this weird perception that Ainge won't make moves (especially near the end of his Boston days), but the guy is still always one of the most active GMs. He just gets himself inserted into EVERY trade rumor (I think to help with leverage when he is actually interested)

2. How many times has Ainge reportedly nearly landed someone but didn’t because of the price?

I really hope these rumors are just throwing the Jazz in there for fun and we haven't actually expressed real interest in most of these guys. My faith in this FO is super low right now.

We have cap space and assets and were **** the last 2 years and our GM said he's going big game hunting. Everyone needs to be expected to be connected to every single rumor anyone can think up right now.
