Offer to Cavs for #1 is to draft Wiggins not Parker

rumor, hearsay...and yet 9 pages of 'thoughtful' debate about something that isnt real...love draft time of year.. :D

Please do come and enlighten us with your clearly superior knowledge and reasoning rather than the standard "lolz, dumbasses" comments that are heavy on condescension and light on any meaningul substance.

Kevin Durant -1yr stats at Texas.

35 games 35.9 minutes per game, 8.7 FGM on 18.5 FGA, overall percentage of .473. Durrant shot .505 from 2p range and .404 from 3PT range on 5.8 attempts. Rebounded 11.1 per game, went to the line 7.3 times, making .816 percent and assists 1.3, STLs 1.9, Blks 1.9. Pretty amazing stats for the MVP of the NBA. Average 25.8 pts.

Andrew Wiggins played 35 games, 32.8 minutes, 5.8 FGM on 12.1, overall percentage .448. Wiggins shot .493 from 2p range and .341 from 3pt range Rebounded 5.9 per game, went to the line 6.5 times, making .775 percent and assists 1.5, STLs 1.2 and BLks 1.0. Average 17.1 pts.

So yes Wiggins isn't equal to Durrant but the difference is not far off. If you look at both Kansas and Texas' s rosters you can see that Wiggins had more teammates who took shots. Durrant was the man and DJ Augustine was really the only other scorer on that team. Durrant is a better shooter but all the assists, steals, and blocks are essential the same between the two. Durrant played a little more but he took six shots more per game than did Wiggins so at Wiggins percentage you could add another 5 pts to his average. Still not Durant level both certainly is promising.

Now I know you can't just look at stats and say player X is almost as good as player Y but I think some people are underrating Wiggins because he didn't put up monster numbers but he still had solid numbers along with playing team ball.

Wiggins is a poor man's Durant. Similar demeanor as well. Wiggins needs to work on his consistency. Six times he scored under ten points last year. Durant in his year at Texas, not once. Wiggins isn't the scoring machine Durant is, but you still give up Favors to get him.

I don't buy this at all. Why would any FO guy ever give a source any truthful information pre-draft?

obvi the FO guy is from Cleveland. They would say it was for wiggins in order to get Philli to try and outbid us rather than hold off and put together a package for the Bucks.

I'm not sure Lindsey would tell them who he wanted to take with the pick at this stage.

God I really hope this is true. This is the best option by far.

I still don't like Wiggins' motor & #Hunger, but yeah I agree this is the best possible outcome for the Jazz this year.

He is going to be one of the better pick coming out of college for at least 3-4 years, so sacrificing Favors who isn't even a traditional sure-fire Center is probably wise. We can also try to develop Gobert anyway or get Okafor next year.

Yes... You do this trade...

Draft Wiggins
Sign Anthony Morrow, Rashard Lewis and Francisco Garcia for Shooting vie Free Agency
Sign Epke Udoh and Okafor also vie freegancy to have some depth at the Center position.
Prepare Gobert to play 15-20 minutes per game
Draft Kyle Anderson

Trey Burke/Kyle Anderson/Raul Neto
Gordon Hayward/Alec Burks/ Anthony Morrow
Andre Wiggins/ Francisco Garcia
Enes Kanter/ Rashard Lewis/ Epke Udoh
Emeka Okafor/ Rudy Gobert
