official 2014/2015 best and or most likely starting lineup prediction thread

You have some SF fetish or something?

Nah, while I say Randle should 'have a go' at SF, he will most likely play the PF position once drafted.

Gordon, on the other hand, unless he gain about 30lbs, he'll definitely be playing the SF position in the NBA.

BTW here's my most likely starting lineup:

Burke
Hayward/Burks
Marvin
Kanter/Randle
Favors

Randle with 30+ min off the bench and this is the lineup with 5 minutes left in the game:

Burke
Hayward
Randle
Kanter
Favors

This is how the management will ease Randle into the SF role long term...

I hope Hayward is gone.

Burke
Burks
Gordon
Favors
Kanter.

Hello lottery again.

sophomore burke
some random old washed up fat vet
vet hayward
vet williams
vet favors

ooh wait CORBIN IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!

starting lineup:
best available pg on team at pg
best available sg on team at sg
best available sf on team at sf
best available pf on team at pf
best available c on team at c

I hope Hayward is gone.

Burke
Burks
Gordon
Favors
Kanter.

this is mine too.... though i would like to keep hayward, i think he gets 12 mill or more per and thats too much.

Also i think we will get a pretty good player via trade or free agency that will alter things a bit

I'll agree on the top part, but think Vonleh is the likelier choice over Randle. Jazz are in love with the "stretch-4" model, having tried to squeeze Marvin into that role. I do think Williams comes back as a SF.

.

Here's what I want (if we can't move up to #2 or #3, which is very unlikely):

Burks
Hayward
Gordon
Kanter
Favors

Sixth man: Marcus Smart (acquired with #23 + Trey + future pick or bad contract)

Or... some scenario involving Noah Vonleh.

Here's a scenario I'd be very happy with:

*The Magic select Vonleh at #4, which means they'll have a need for a guard.
*We trade them Trey Burke for Jameer Nelson (one year left at $8M) + the #12 + a future second-round pick.
*We use #12 and #23 to move up as far as possible... I think they could get us as high as #8
*With #5 and #8 we select Marcus Smart and Aaron Gordon.
Conclusion: we abuse the entire league with a roster full of gansters.

Smart/Burks/Nelson (Neto gets an additional year of grooming overseas)
Hayward/Burks
Gordon/Hayward
Kanter/Gordon
Favors/Gobert

^that's the makings of a top10 defense. Success on offense would come by not settling for bad shots... living in the paint... pushing the tempo.

Bump this.
Everybody needs to get excited about the talent in the 5 to 10 range. There's plenty of it.
