He had some defensive lapses in the first half,
but overall, his defense has improved dramatically from the time he first arrived in Utah.
Jefferson's game is evolving into something that the haters thought would never happen. He is such a key for Utah. I am more convinced than ever that the future of the Utah Jazz involves starting Jefferson, Favors, and Millsap alongside each other. IMO Sap has proven he can man the 3 and that line-up seems to thrive whenever Ty goes with it.
I said it above, but Al escapes one of his worst performances of the year because of a couple of shots late in the game. He was atrocious all night. And, not efficient on the offensive end either.
Al in the 1st and 3rd was eclipsed by Al late in the 4th. I'm sorry but when the chips were down the dude delivered. Al J is a maddening player sometimes but he is so much better than last year's Al.
I don't see Al as a likely future piece but clutch matters.

This. Even the ESPN announcers said that Jameer Nelson was abusing the Jazz high PnR defense tonight. They were a little too dumb to realize that it was mostly against Jefferson, but they try.
I'm scared of what Steve Nash will do to the Jazz with Gortat/Nash pick and rolls. Good thing Channing Frye is out.
He beat up your mom, but he gave you a cupcake on his way out the door.So... he made s*** soup for dinner, but at least he put enough salt in it.
So Al's horrible HORRIBLE defense and ball hogging that had us down by 14 in the first quarter is outweighed by the fact he gave an assist to end the game instead of chucking over a double team!
Thank god for NAOS.
