What's new

***Official Ping Pong Day Thread - Tuesday - May 20th - 8 PM ET - ESPN***

I am historically without a doubt the 1st kind of fan, but this year, I sincerely hoped with all of my heart that we would lose, so my watching helped them lose. I have flipped the switch to winning again, so that still make me fan #1 right?

Yes watch away sir.

I'm #1. I was at the Orlando game. I left in the third quarter when the Jazz were up 10 or so.

I pulled in the garage when I got home, turned on the radio to see how much the Jazz lost by. The very next play was Burke hitting the three to win the game.

I'm sorry. I also watched the OT's against Minnesota. I'm so sorry.

All is forgiven if you do the right thing today.

lol at this nugget from Simmons under the Boston's section

They competed just about every night for Brad Stevens, blowing close game after close game because they didn’t have a crunch-time guy
Yes, I remember those close, "come-from-ahead" losses as they tanked their way down to a tie for 4th.

Edit: actually, to Simmons' credit, there were some very close games that Boston appeared to be trying to win.

According to Chad Ford's magical lotto projector, the Jazz's big board currently looks like this---

Parker
Wiggins
Embiid
Exum
Vonleh
Smart
Randle

The most likely picks are Vonleh (at 5 or 6), Parker (at 1, 2 or possibly 3), or Embiid (at 3 or 4). If Embiid is off the board at 4, the Jazz would take Exum. I have not seen a scenario where the Jazz take Wiggins because virtually every other team would take him first. The only scenario I've seen where the Jazz take Randle is if they fall all the way to 7.

I highly doubt Chad Ford or anyone else knows what the Jazz draft board is.

Wow, this stat is amazing...

Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA
A fun draft stat -- in 30 years, no player drafted with the 22nd pick has ever won a championship - every other first round pick has.

...and I'm tired of waiting.

Maybe we can talk Memphis into swapping with our 23rd. Or maybe even just our 35th.
