Official Point Guard Thread.

I think we would all agree that we need a good PG on our team, and having read a post by PKM about the future college prospects for PG’s, it seems like our only option is through free agency or trade. Therefore, I have started this thread to update and keep track of PG’s that we could go after now and in the immediate future. I will not keep track of the Chris Pauls and Rondos of the NBA since getting them is next to impossible. I will update this thread from time to time with season stats so that we can compare these players in various categories. Let me know if there is someone you want me to put on the list, and let me know about their defense since it’s hard to know unless you watch them. Let me know if you disagree with any of the subjective stuff (defense, athleticism etc.)

Nice post. I didn't read yet (please don't take offense), but I will..

I love Bledsoe, I also like Collison .. Jennings is way down my list but still above Mo.

trade paul millsap, who we're gonna lose for nothing anyway at the end of the season, for jose calderon.
re-sign calderon for a cheaper contract at the end of the season. he is a great fit here because he can get the ball to the big men, which like it or not, is how TyCo wants the offense to run. the ideal pg in this system is one who can set up the bigs and then once they are set-up, can help them be succeful by keeping the D honest by being able to shoot. Jose can shoot open shots and he can set up bigs.
then draft a PG and groom him to eventually overtake calderon.

boom. thank you heavenharris.

Holy ****ing hell no.

Here's the bump and the adjusted stats. Jeff Teague and Eric Bledsoe are looking very intriguing. Jeff Teague seems like he can run an offense better than Bledsoe, has relatively high TO's, and is probably the all round best PG on paper. Bledsoe could be special with the right team. He's not going to rack up the assists and his three point shooting is generally poor, but he is second to none as an athlete. Let me know if you want someone else on the list.

Not sure on Bledsoe, I haven't watched much of him. But the clippers don't seem to trust his playmaking ability, Crawford is usually initiating the offense with the second unit. Not sure if that is quite the starting pg the jazz want.
Someone enlighten me as I'm not too familiar with his play, but to me he seems quite a bit like burks, raw.

I will help, but only if you look up his stats and post them here.

I'm posting highlights just to see these players at there best; feel free to do the same. This will show their overall athleticism. You can bet Calderon won't be dunking a lot.
