Official Point Guard Thread.

I'll pass on Marshall. To be honest, I think Marshall = Tinsley. Great passer, can't guard anyone, and can't shoot. His shooting may improve, but I doubt his defense ever will as he's not blessed with overwhelming athletic ability.

However, I think I've seen him play maybe once. Thoughts?

first off, i appreciate you color-coating each player but it looks like you're solely evaluating their stats based on this year (<15 games in) alone....!!!

i agree, just a younger version of Tinsley w/ perhaps great leadership where I STILL dont think he'd get PT over MO...


i like Bledsoe but we'd have to see what Billups brings when he returns till they let him go...
Paul/Burks (Billups was a mentor to him @ CU) for Bledsoe/Odom (whom we would buy-out).

That's true. That's why I'm updating it now and again. Logistically, it would take more time than I have to evaluate them on their career numbers, and it would get unwieldy if I included more info. I figure this year and last year are the most important anyway since we need someone who has proved enough but has not proved it too much to raise the price tag too much.
 
Updated stats. Also, someone mentioned Greiviz Vasquez and I have been looking at Goran Dragic a bit. Both of these guys have statistical red flags, but if I have time, I will probably add them. Let me know if you have others. I've looked at the top 9-10 PGs, and think there is more or less no way of getting any of them, so these are the PG's we will have to get.

What would we have to give up for Jennings? I feel he is the guy we need as he attacks the rim while getting better as an all-around player. Is he the same chucker as he always been?

As you can also see from the stats, he has a horrendous ability to win and make his team have positive points in relation to the other team. He has nice raw stats, but I wouldn't touch him personally...well if he paid me enough maybe...

Yeah. He is like that but from what I've seen he is the most talented listed. He would do wonders if he played within the offense. That may just be a dream though.
