I honestly don't care. I do think weed diminishes ambition, which bothers me more than anything. Not sure we need a bunch more pothead teenagers than we already have.

I'm not really passionate about it either way. The pros and cons weigh themselves pretty well, imo.

What makes you think there would be more usage amongst minors than there already is? How many teenagers do you know that drink but don't smoke pot simply because it's illegal? If you know even one, that's one more than I've ever known.

Not that many. But I do know several underage people that do not drink because it is illegal. If pot were legal I think there would absolutely be an increase in smokers.

There's no way for any of us to know whether usage goes up with legalization. My bet would be that it at least triples, minimum.

I would dispute that, triple is HUGE. The majority of people who want to smoke weed smoke weed. I would say its a pretty small minority of those who really want to smoke and arent because its illegal.

I know you well enough to know that you're just gonna politely double-down, but there is no evidence to support your claim. I've personally done plenty of research into formal and informal drug economies and I think that repeated usage would stay about the same. Drug prohibition has failed massively.

So basically you are saying what he just said.

His opinion is that it will and your opinion is that it wont.

No, dude. I said I have an opinion that is based on research conducted in my field of expertise. He implied a moral woe. Huge ****ing difference.

I don't think anyone is advocating making weed legal for minors.

What is your field of expertise. Can we see this research? If so then right on. Otherwise I am sticking to my opinion stance.
