This is a ONE year evaluation. I don't think any of us that absolutely LOVE Vonleh at the #5 pick expect him to challenge for ROY. My "homer" pick is McDermott. I think he comes in and exceeds his draft position in 2014-15. Doesn't mean I would take him at #5. Kobe Bryant would have lost the "homer" competition his first season, as would have Deron Williams, Karl Malone and John Stockton, amongst others.

Massive copout IMO.

We will know next year if it was a reach or if it was the right idea.

I'm not saying they will be finished products. That's not what I expect from AG. I expect AG to show he is worthy of being picked where he was taken based on how he performs and others behind him do.

We will know next year if Vonleh is a soft candy *** pansy (thanks PKM) or if he is on the upward and will become an awesome big.

This judgment will be made based on how the player does and how people taken after do.

We knew in year one that Vesely, Biyombo and Fredette were taken WAY too high.


Have some balls Vonleh homers. Come on! AG homers are at least backing it up instead of copping out.
