Where ESPN ranked us position wise in the pac-12
O-Line: 2nd
QB: 11th
RB: 8th
WR: 12th
Defensive Front 7: 3rd
DB: 5th

Breaking this down a bit further.... I bet if they separated the front 7 into lb's and d line then utes d line would be #1 and backers like 6th or so.

Also, I think rb should be ranked higher. I love Williams speed. But of course, I like speed over everything else in a running back and Williams has elite speed so I'm a bit bias probably.

Seriously? No way Conan coached a qb. Dude looked like (and my memory serves) he was either an OL coach or HC.

You could be right. I'm not sure he ever made it clear what he actually coached...but he did make it sound like he was involved with some of Hill's development. I don't know, I hope he comes back and talks a little trash if Hill does happen to play well in that game though.

I forgot about Jason Thompson. And lo and behold... he's a team captain this year.
Ya, we've got not one but two good emergency quarterbacks.
We'll be fine without Cox... but still sad to see him go.
He's a lefty.

I posted on some other sites that I thought Thompson would be our third QB over Hansen. Thompson could slide over just as easily as Hansen and isn't needed on defense like Hansen is. Although, Thompson is a BIG hitter and will probably get some good playing time this year if we move Hansen to LB in certain situations.

Just read a great write-up on Morgan Scalley. Man, I'm just so giddy about the present and future of this program. I dunno if other Ute fans feel the same way but I feel like we're on the cusp of something bigger.
