They running so much because they dont trust their pass protection?
I think they're running so much because of the conditions...and because it's Kyle Whittingham football.
Yeah but that run/pass ratio is insane. It's working though, I guess.
Winning a game with 42 passing yards, and only allowing 100 passing yards, is really impressive.
Utah doing a great job of taking advantage of a down year for the PAC-12 by just playing ugly as possible. They will go the entire year with only playing 1 ranked team.

In the first half the weather dictated the play calling, in the 2nd half the coaches didn't adjust to the better weather or adjust anything at all...... unless you count running the ball even more an adjustment.
Love the aggressive going for it on 4th down, however when you call the same play that's no longer a aggressive decision it's a stupid one, they had 4 yrds of offense in the 3rd Qtr all on the same play, dive up the middle, now sometimes there was a pretend (no real threat) QB option to keep it but I'm not joking when I say that was just about the only play they called and the only running play called. That is also the only play called when going for it on 4th down, so as you can tell by the 4yrd 3rd Qtr how well that same play worked.
I'm going to finish off the chemical lobotomy watching this game started so I can hopefully erase this game from my memory and my eyes.

The last 5 games are going to be a meat grinder for Utah. There's just been too many injuries. It's been crazy. I hate to say it, but I think 2-3 is about the best they can hope for.
Pac 12 depth though.
And I thought the BYU MSU game was ugly.
Neither team wanted to win this thing, but OSU wanted it less.
It almost got ugly there at the end too.
That retired/unretired rb came through though. He won that game.
