Official UofU homer thread

Booker was good all game. He carried for gains when it should have been a loss. He didn't really get loose until he got the TD, but he was altering the game from the first second.

Hard to imagine this thread isn't blowing up. Oh well. See you guys next week?
 
Yeah, are fans becoming indifferent with the winning so far? Holy cow people, we just broke an enormous losing streak to ASU! Not a pretty win, but a character building win where we still won by 16 points. We only beat USU by what 10? Go UTES!!!

In my defense, I was at the game and couldn't be bothered to post on Jazzfanz during it.
 
Seriously, anyone trying to paint any of these wins as a fluke or luck, or anything other than being really, really good, you're not paying attention. The Utes are in the NC hunt and it's for real. Go Utes.

Awesome win. And to the guy that said Hackett has been average lets just say you are wrong. He's been amazing this year, Phillips had a bad start to the season but hasn't missed in weeks and this is the first time somebody has gone off on a return in a while. The special teams are still one of the best in the Pac 12 if not the country.

The defense against ASU was absolutely fantastic they dominated that game from the jump. Not sure of the stats but I don't think ASU ended up with 200 yards of offense. They barely had 100 before the start of the 4th quarter.

As for last night I was to pumped to sit in front of the computer after than win.

They're making plays when they need to make plays. There's nothing lucky about that. Color me impressed.

That might have been me you're talking about, I never said (or meant to say) Hackett was bad or even average, I was trying to say he has been good but hasn't been great like last couple years. He's had a couple of bad punts early in the season but since has been better.

Andy Phillips was the main source of my ire, starting last last year his kick offs seem to have lost their power, not many going through the back of the end zone and giving the other team the opportunity to return the ball. I'm only being this hard on him because of how great he looked and played his frist two and half years so I am holding him to a higher standard, like King Louie (Louie Sakoda).
