Official UofU homer thread

Joe Williams is coming back???? Not sure I love that idea.
I get why not, but at least he has tons of God given speed and athleticism.
I think if he gets coached up enough then he could be special.

At this point... as long as he holds the ball, which is the question, I'd welcome another warm body that actually knows how to block.

Yeah, people are underrating the fact that a running back does more than carry the football.

Bottom line is, after spending hours and hours in practice with all the players, the coaches had Joe Williams as the #1 guy to start the season. I'll take him over having to give snaps to the #6 guy.

Is this certain?
I don't know how well this would go over with the rest of the team that's been busting their asses for the last month while he sat around.

I don't know how valid the rumor is but I've seen a couple of Ute players on twitter saying he'd be welcomed back. Maybe instead of looking at it as the guy who quit on them, they see it as noble that he is willing to come back now that the team is in a bind.

I don't have any ill will towards the kid, but I think I'd rather see Utah wait for Moss and McCormick to get right and depend on the "throw game" a little bit more until they get healthier at RB.

Joe Williams officially back per Kyle Goon.
Im pleasantly surprised. Didn't think he would come back but I actually really like him. Im probably a bigger fan of him than most all ute fans lol.

I had high hopes for him this season. But the fumbles were hard to get past. And he can't seem to break a tackle, like he never seemed to break even a one handed off balance type of tackle.

Ya he does seem a little soft. I'm a sucker for speed though and he has that in spades.
As a byu fan, I think it makes me value speed more than other fans since its the #1 thing byu usually is lacking lol.
