Official Utah/Minnesota/Philadelphia Pick Watch

It's not just that we need the T'wolves to lose games, we need the teams near to them in the standings to win games. Warriors, Mavericks, Lakers...we need them to get their act together to keep Minny in the #10 or #11 spot.

I think Dallas and GS will end up passing us (as long as GS weathers the storm with Steph)... so we likely land close to that range. I think if the Minny pick ends up like 17-18 we could pair it with a Cavs or Minny future pick and move up to the 9-12 range if we feel its worth it.

I really just want us to land Anthony Black. I think he's just such a great fit for the things we need. If we landed a top rated guy by jumping into the top 4 I wouldn't be too sad though.
worst case scenario now imo is the Jazz win the play in get swept as an 8th seed in the first round, and the pick they would have had late lottery, had they lost the play in game, ends up turning into Victor or Scoot smh. But the odds are so bad for that too happen I am hoping, they just make the choice to sell some vets in the next month, and tank if the pick is that important. Otherwise I want them to get the 6 seed if they can and be a bracket buster.

Minnesota lost to Dallas tonight!
I thought they were going to bench Rudy late… Dallas looked like ****… Minny was trapping and doubling Luka and they couldn’t hit anything for three quarters… finally got hot late.

Gobert is having the worst year of his career since 2016-17.

His PPG, RPG, BPG, and FG% are all the lowest they have been in each category in the last 5 years.

He’s a -56 on the season. He always had insane +/- stats with us and hasn’t been lower than +293 total in a season in the last 6 years.

Kessler’s per 36 stats this year:

13.5 PPG, 12.6 RPG, 3.7 BPG, 75.2% from the field on 7.7 FGA per game.

Gobert’s per 36 stats this year:

16.4 PPG, 14.1 RPG, 1.4 BPG, 66.1% from the field on 9.4 FGA per game.

Pretty awesome stuff from the rookie.

We’d have picks 12/18/27 if the draft was today. Really not bad at all. I would absolutely love it if the Minnesota pick lands in the top-10.
Prolly pretty close to where we will be.
