That is the projected list for seeds 4 to 13 based on public trust on those teams making the playoffs. Suns, Grizzlies and Nuggets dont have any odds set which means they are considered locks by Fanduel at least.

So public has completely lost faith in OKC trying. Us and Blazers are the ones projected 11th-12th with equal odds. Projected play-in teams are GSW, Pels, Minny and Lakers... with GSW having far greater odds of making it to actual playoffs of the 4. Other 3 are pretty much tied.

I think that is all pretty accurate. Really really hope that all those teams finish ahead of the twolves of course but probably wont. Steph comes back next week I hear so, ya GSW should have by far the greatest odds.

If Minny wins then the next 24 - 72 hours the board is all sorts of Eeor saying "minny's gonna make the playoffs after I finish eating my thistle".

If Minny loses then everyone is all about the "WE'RE GETTING WEMBY!!! and all sorts of victory memes.

Minny is going to finish between 6 - 12. Everyone is tightly packed. A few games make a huge difference in seeding and picks. They have more insentive and skills to make the 6 spot than most of the teams, but they have proven that they aren't a unit. Regardless of what happens, I expect to enjoy a lot more Eeor mentality and victory strut troll memes over the coming 6 week roller coaster ride.

its kinda fun rooting against other teams. I recommend we get more draft picks to make the NBA more interesting for us.

The schedule is tough but they will make the play in unless Ant gets hurt. I think they likely lose and miss the actual playoffs... at least I hope. As a team they do oscillate between looking like hot garbage and looking like they are figuring things out.

This is ********. I’ve spent my entire basketball-watching career hating and rooting against teams and it’s usually those **** faces who win. The Bulls? The Lakers? The Heat? Then we were rooting against the Warriors, but not too much that they kept their pick, and they screwed us by getting 1 position away from us keeping the pick, so I hated their franchise more than I had ever hated any franchise… and then they win a bunch of titles. **** this ****. It got to the point where I’m rooting for LeBron over GSW and he can’t even deliver… then back to hating the Lakers and they get their Mickey Mouse ring (and Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis get rings). At that point, I accepted the inevitable that anyone I hate will win and I’m trying to be more apathetic.

Ehhhhh.... its fun to have a direct reason to root against another team. May not always work out but its like gambling. Gets you interested in other things... even if the bets don't go your way.

Also - law of averages. At some point the teams you want to lose will lose right.... right!?!?! Or maybe... you should hate the Jazz??? Do it for us.

I once saw an idea for a plan to reduce tanking by making it so that every team bets on the record of a different team to determine where their pick will be the next year. The worst teams get to select whose record they want to bet on for next year. The idea is that it’ll completely remove the incentive to tank because your pick is somewhat out of your control and you can’t bottom out to get a high pick this year.

Basically, it would make it so fans of every team would be actively rooting for their team to win and for at least one other team to lose.

It had some serious flaws, but it also seemed interesting to me.

There are a bunch of things they could do but there is also a lot of unintended consequences. I would be happy if they just limited teams to being in the top 4 to once every three years. So Houston, Detroit, Orlando, OKC can go #5 at the highest. Would reduce incentives for a long tank.
