Official Utah Utes Football 2012 Thread

Wow. I just went over to the BYU thread and read up... looked at the fact they had 25 pages, and was like, what the hell?

And then I realized that 1/2 their thread is UGLI giving 'em crap, and I didn't feel so bad.

So, going over the Northern Colorado game again... was anybody else really impressed with Jake Murphy? He is a solid TE. I'm pretty tickled that he didn't listen to his Dad about where to go to school.

The other standout? Joe Kruger. Dude is an animal. And the fact that he intercepted a ball and ran it back for a TD was pretty darn cool. I think he's going to be a formidable force this season - a good complement to Star when all is said and done. And he's a Junior... even better.
 
I'm very tempted to drag my *** up to Logan on Friday and take a shot on some scallper's offerings....the 4-5 hours of driving is the only reason I'm even debating not doing so. Do they have a pretty decent scallping contingent there? Or should I just buy tickets beforehand if I end up going?

You can just get tix for like $35 on their website. Unless its sold out.
 
I won't be able to go... as I'll be in San Francisco watching the Giants and Dodgers for a couple of games. But any of you Ute fans that head up to Logan... cheer loud! REPRESENT! And... don't storm the field, whatever you do. How embarrassing that would be. Wow.

It's not. But there's always two kinds of scalpers, those looking to fetch higher prices and those looking to unload. The latter show up at any event. I just figure it might get closer to being sold out as gametime rolls around since I probably won't decide if I'm going or not until that morning + I don't really want to sit in that general admission area they have which is probably where most of the available tickets will end up being. A little pre-game negotiating with a scalper always warms my heart. I've never been to a place that doesn't have scalpers so I'm sure I'll be fine if I go that route.

I've been in Cache Valley for 20 years and until last year there wasn't a scalper around Romney Stadium. I'd just get a GA ticket off the website.
