Child please. I go into whatever threads I want and don't worry if one thread is bigger than the other. Nor do I monitor threads I'm not interested in. I'll leave the junior high mentality to others.

So the DE dropping back in coverage intercepting the ball and taking it to the house did not stand out to you?

Star mowing 2 guys and nearly taking the back down in the end zone did not stand out?

I know it's a terrible opponent but the defense played pretty well. Gave up 3 rushing yards in the 1st half.

I should have qualified that with, I had very high expectations of the D-Line. Yes Star and Joe Kruger both played great (though thought Dave Kruger would be more noticeable) so when they did those things against No.CO it was expected, however I didn't mean to diminish those things.


USU game does have me nervous Chucky seemed to have a great game and while I didn't see any of the game their D didn't seem to have a drop off from loosing the LB to the NFL (Seahawks).

I was at the game against Northern Colorado and came away feeling unsettled. Interestingly enough, after watching the replay of the game I feel much better. The 3-6 yard gains that the U was getting consistently seemed underwhelming in person but on TV looked good and solid. I don't think we can get away with that against all the teams on the schedule - we need to make SOME long gains to stretch the defense a little - but it's nice to know that if needed the team can grind it out.

Regardless, I think it'll be a good game.

The Utes and BYU switch places this week. BYU plays a patsy that will show them nothing. Utah plays a decent team that will test them a little.

The only thing I would change is having it be a close game. Let them beat a bunch of other people and beat or be close with some other good teams... just not the Utes

This is what I expect, too. I look at USU and wonder why everyone is a bit nervous. I think the Utes have too much depth, defense, and overall talent to lose to USU. Now, if Turbin and Wagner were still there, I might change my tune but I just don't see this being a game the Utes lose.

First game of the season with a new OC. It's actually not that big of a deal, and a good thing Utah played a patsy in their first game. I think it will help the rest of the season go a little bit smoother. Don't sweat it.

That would have been a concern had the rest of the half/game gone that way.
