Well let me respond to that directly.
But they usually aren't. Calling it a call on a technicality is almost gracious in and of itself. You know how bad it was. The game was over. BYU got ANOTHER kick AND 15 yards because the field began to be rushed after the clock struck 0 and the Utes had the ball. You know how bad it was, I can tell.I'm not saying I would have made that call, but it is the rule. Yes, it's a technicality. It could be called in a lot of games.
I mean, really, truly awful. I'm not a scholar on the history of the game, but in my limited memory, I cannot think of a call so lopsided against the practicality of the game and in favor of a team in a win/lose situation. Unbelievable.
