Where's that at? It looks nice!

I took a detour from my hotel to the airport today. A bunch of cars were slowing down so I got out to enjoy the view and snapped a few pictures. Then jumped in my car and realized I was at Mount Nebo.

I LOVE Mount nebo and know it very very well. Fished and camped there more than anywhere else.

I hiked bald mountain (by mirror lake)

Pretty easy hike. Only 1.8 miles each way. Very steep but so short that it's no problem. Gonna do a 9 mile each way hike to red castle lake in the Unitas next month. Really looking forward to that one. Gonna camp by the lake. I hear the fishing is great there.

Beautiful country fish! Did you have that brookie for dinner?

Nope. I never keep them. My friend asked if he could keep it and I told him yes if he has a cooler in his jeep. He didn't have a cooler though so it would have been nasty by the time he got it home so I let it go.

We had the lake to ourselves on a Sunday which was pretty unlikely. It was a bit tough to get to which helped. I think swimming in the lake was my favorite part of the day.

I don't even own a pair of sandals and the only shoes I wear are Altra because they eliminated/prevent my plantar fasciitis. No oils or incense for me.

It's not the Olympics but I did a cool hike yesterday that finished at a 12,000 foot peak with amazing views.

Then dove into a freezing lake and had a swim, caught a nice brook trout and caught a frog that I brought home to my daughter and is currently chilling in her room in an aquarium.

The finals went down to the wire between US and Japan.

Oh nice! I've done that time before but not since the 90s. I thought it looked familiar.

Also I should have clarified. Not Utah Mount Nebo the original one in Jordan where Moses was shown the promise land and died at. Utah my Nebo is awesome though!! Been there a bunch.

That was actually my friend standing next to the edge in the picture.
He actually flew to napal to climb Everest a few years back. (He didn't do the summit though. Just went up to about 20,000 feet)
