Omnibus Gordon Hayward Thread (To clean up the Board some)

I'm enjoying watching Twitter from Charlotte fans ready to hang themselves because of the Gordon deal.

C.A. Huggins ‏@C_A_Huggins 35m

@djgourmetdachef Man Gordon Hayward dropped 16ppg while shooting 41% for a crappy Jazz team. Kyle Singler could do that. Only diff is mins.

The Big Cheese ‏@utemack44 19m

Fixed RT @PKKinahan: Gordon Hayward canceled his media availability at his camp tomorrow. Reason is to let kids stack his $$$. #GotPaid

Kalif Ahmed ‏@Kalif_Ahmed21 18m

Your franchise must be *** if you givim Gordon Hayward a max deal

#1 rule that all Financial advisers live by "If you can afford it, spend it" Pacman Jones lived by this philosophy and has made many naked ladies very rich in the process.
Lol

I'm confused. Billyshelby is making the wild claim that prices will go way down next year, and fishonjazz is making the wild claim that they'll go way up.

Are these excuses or is there something to it?

You do realize I did not write that as an advertisement for Hayward = worth max? You should read it again, along with footnote #5, and post #120, to see the value in a contract that's making you and others a tad bit too angry now, and in the future.

I don't really care if Hayward stays or goes, but some y'all (pointing at you, GVC) need to realize that overpaying players is a utility. Teams like the Lakers use it well while everyone else ignores the advantages. A $10,000,000 Parsons can be traded for a $15,000,000 player. A $17,000,000 Hayward can be traded for a true max superstar.

I dont recall doing that

I certainly cant wait till okc calls us up to trade us durant for a hayward that averages 15 per game on 43 percent shooting percentage and 36 percent from three.

Good plan, im sure okc would do it...... but would the jazz?

**** gordan *** hayward ***** and his max

Don't forget he has a trade kicker. That $17M becomes almost $20M. So to hell with Durant, I think the Cavs will be tired of Lebron in 3 years and ready for the true superstar of the league.

Also, isnt it easier to trade for a superstar with a huge contract when you are way under the cap? Because then you are allowed to take on more money than you send out? Is that correct?

If so, then it would be easier to give okc multiple promising cheap players and draft picks to aquire durant than an overpaid, bad contract it seems (i think that is the route houston took to aquire harden?)

I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
But I must say I was a little disappointed. The title had me thinking berkkobe was really going to go off on Hayward. "Dude sucks" is the best he can do? Weak sauce!
